My loyal subjects-
I'm taking the rest of this week off from the blog to celebrate the holidays. I will be back after Christmas and fill you in on all the gory details. I thought I would leave you with something very special though.
Most of you know my son TJ is diagnosed with Autism. No, I'm not going to ramble on about vaccinations, and the CDC and all of that shit, but those of you who know TJ will realize how incredible this is.
It wasn't even 6 months ago that this kid couldn't even speak. He used sign language, and moans and grunts to communicate with us. When TJ's therapist sent this to my phone today, I was damn near tears. This is what the holidays are all about... Small miracles to everyday, blue collar guys like me. Families who stick together no matter what. Most importantly, Kids who smile and laugh, not even fully understanding how different they really are. With all of that being said, here's my son, one of the lights of my life, singing "Jingle Bells"...
On that note.... I wish all of you, my friends and family, an EXTREMELY Merry Christmas. I hope you all can take a moment and give somebody in your Family a hug, and tell you how much you love them.
Now Fuck Off....and I'll talk to you next week.

Erin
Those of us who are lucky enough to be close to TJ know what a real miracle he is. His smile has always been able to light up a room. Now his voice, oh my God what a voice is all the gift I need. A special thank you to Erin, our angel, who without her special relationship and love for our boy I don't know if he would be singing that song to us this soon. I love you all and I'll see you in a few days.
ReplyDeleteWow...just wow! It's the best thing I've heard in a very long time! TJ makes my heart smile. Love you guys!
ReplyDeleteHe is our little Rock Star! So amazing to hear his voice, we have all waited so long to hear him talk. We are kicking Autism in the ass over here...watch out!
ReplyDeleteBTW..when you watch that video more than once, you can tell how difficult it is for him to talk in sentences. That darn apraxia and tongue! We're getting there though!
ReplyDeleteMy Man!! Brings tears to my eyes! We have waited so long to hear him. My man has always been such a happy guy, and now that he can communicate with us you can see the joy. Thanks to Erin and LIFE for loving our guy and working so hard with him. And thank you God for answering prayers!
